Exceedingly

I'm trans and I'm gonna talk about it. Exceedingly.

I’m tired of people challenging my intelligence.

Yes, I’m an intelligent black man, and I’m quite proud of this fact.
And yes, I use vernacular such as “naw”, “ain’t”, “ya’ll”, and “doe”.

Does my lack of eloquence in my everyday speech mean that I’m not as well versed as you? No.

Because I’m black and intelligent, I still can’t be as smart as you?

I’ll let you think that.

Just because I know fancy words and I can speak with perfect articulation doesn’t mean I have to do so, just to suit you. You’re gonna sit there and deal with my way of speech because all throughout school I had the Queen’s English beaten into me as if no other American dialects every existed.

Also, I know many people who speak “eloquently” and have a huge and verbose vocabulary and speak a whole bunch of bullshit. They uses fancy ass words just talk out the side of dey neck. Talmbout patwas and AAVE is uncouth and shit, chile boo. They don’t know jack bout code switching either.
